On President's Day we took a trip to Axtell so that Jared's Grandpa could see our babies, and so that our kids could see his baby lambs.

Zeke wants a whiff of Grandpa's oxygen.

We didn't get any pictures of the lambs, but we managed to snap a photo of the bald eagle we spotted on the way home.

Head Control

Gabe does a lot of therapy including stretching, vision, feeding, and massage, but the most critical right now is head control. He needs head control in order to learn to sit upright, roll, and crawl.

The corner chair and rubber ducks help Gabe learn to keep his head in "midline"

Sam and Gabe share a room. At night Mom rocks Gabe to sleep while singing lulabies to Sam. Sam most often requests "Goodnight My Someone" and "Come Thou Fount." (He likes the part about being rescued from danger.)

Dad and Mom take the age-old advice to "sleep while the baby sleeps".

On February 8th, Eliza played in her first piano recital--a duet called "My Carosel Horse".

The highlight of January was a visit from Shu Ling and Russell Stagg. The kids had a wonderful time playing with Russell, and Shu Ling kept us well-fed with yummy Chinese food.

The kids love snack-time after school, especially blowing bubbles in their milk! My Dad told me one of his favorite childhood memories is of being greeted by his mother each day after school with a cookie, cinnamon roll, or bread and butter. As Robert Fulgum says, "Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you."
